POSITION SUMMARYStrike’s labourers assist skilled trade persons and perform labour activities at our various construction and project sites.Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety”, and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect and fairness.Note: This posting will be used to collect applications to fill current openings as well as anticipated future openings. Future openings are anticipated but not guaranteed.PROJECT DETAILS<ul><li>Northern AB &amp; BC</li><li>17 on/4 off shift</li><li>LOA or Camp</li></ul>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES&nbsp;<ul><li>Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices</li><li>Fuel equipment when needed</li><li>Clean construction work areas</li><li>Work with equipment operators and civil crew to complete grade and excavation work</li><li>Assist pipefitters and welders with their work</li><li>Assist heavy equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in safely moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities</li><li>Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed</li><li>Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades required at construction sites</li><li>Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them</li><li>Correct unsafe acts and bring unsafe conditions to the attention of the immediate supervisor</li><li>Return tools (clean) back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift</li><li>Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;SCOPE OF WORK<ul><li>Integrity digs</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONSEducation<ul><li>Grade 12 or GED</li><li>H2S Alive, CSTS, Standard First Aid, OSSA (preferred but not required), Fall protection, and Ground Disturbance</li><li>​Basic Safety Orientation (BSO) or Common Safety Orientation (CSO)</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Previous Labour experience</li><li>Previous oilfield construction experience would be considered an asset</li><li>Previous experience operating bobcats, skid steer, or case loaders. POSITION SUMMARYThe&nbsp;primary function of the&nbsp;Lead Hand is to provide direction, on-floor leadership and continuous improvement of the production processes, procedures, and equipment. A Strike Lead Hand provides leadership and scheduling, and coordinates, supervises and ensures the safety and productivity of their assigned labourer.Note: This posting will be used to collect applications to fill current openings as well as anticipated future openings.
