The Operator will actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented setting and demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills.</p><h2><strong>Work Environment</strong></h2><p>The schedule for this position is structured as a 7-on / 7-off rotation of 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights.</p><h2><strong>A Day in The Life</strong></h2><ul><li>Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility</li><li>Responsible for truck unloading, oil emulsion and water &amp; vac trucks</li><li>Responsible for oil treating with the treater, cooler or tank treating</li><li>Participating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker &amp; centrifuge operations and solids treating</li><li>Responsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement &amp; Crude Oil Quality compliance</li><li>Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance</li><li>Conducting treatment of solids on the waste pad</li><li>Conducting boiler operations, testing and steam system operations</li><li>Ensuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered to</li><li>Submitting truck tickets summary, daily plant checklists, and balance and transfers to the office</li><li>Participates in the Health &amp; Safety Management System (HSMS)</li><li>Waste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)</li><li>Following water injection SOP’s and best practices to protect the disposal well integrity</li><li>General maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe</li></ul><h2><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Operational experience in waste processing, oil treating or water injection is considered a strong asset&nbsp;</li><li>Midstream terminal operations experience is considered a strong asset</li><li>Specialty training in boilers, treaters, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge and loader is considered an asset</li><li>Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHIMS and TDG</li><li>A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment</li><li>Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure strategic communication with multiple stakeholders</li><li>Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues</li><li>Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices</li><li>A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing</li></ul><h2><strong>What's in it for you</strong></h2><p>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
