This is a dual-purpose role which includes monitoring a pipeline system via SCADA equipment, working outside and in a lab performing basic product quality tests.</p><h2><strong>Work Environment</strong></h2><p>This position is located at our Kerrobert facility and offers a 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, rotating between days and nights, with 12-hour shifts.</p><h2><strong>A Day in The Life</strong></h2><ul><li>Operate and continuously monitor pipeline gathering system via SCADA control system with limited supervision</li><li>Ensure accurate on spec blending of multiple products</li><li>Execute daily pumping schedules and blending requirements</li><li>Responsible for treating emulsion with the treater</li><li>Recognize / Respond appropriately to abnormal operating conditions and emergency situations</li><li>Monitor leak detection and respond to alarm conditions</li><li>Log all pertinent day to day data</li><li>Communicate information exchange at end of shift</li><li>Prioritize and manage required console activities</li><li>Perform plant rounds and equipment checks</li><li>Conduct visitor and contractor orientations</li><li>Perform basic sampling and lab tests as required</li><li>Day to day site activities including minor maintenance activities and housekeeping</li><li>Orientate site visitors / contractors</li><li>Complete work permits, and job hazard assessments as required</li><li>Participate in Emergency Response Plan (ERP) training exercises</li><li>Participate as required in ERP manual updates</li><li>Participate as required in Operating manual updates</li><li>Participate as required in equipment book updates</li><li>Troubleshoot mechanical &amp; electrical problems</li><li>Evaluate contractor performance</li><li>Participate on incident reporting and resolution</li><li>Duties and responsibilities of this position are subject to change as deemed necessary by the Facility Manager</li></ul><h2><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Intermediate understanding of SCADA systems and hardware</li><li>A minimum of 5 years pipeline operations and procedures experience</li><li>A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent</li><li>A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing</li><li>Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG, Ground Disturbance, ICS</li><li>Must be able to clearly and accurately document their work and ensure consistent communication with the Facility Manager and other key stakeholders</li><li>Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate good decision-making skills</li><li>Proven ability to work well under limited amount of supervision</li><li>Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices</li><li>Must demonstrate strong teaching methods regarding all processes in the plant</li><li>Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and accountability to Lead Operator / Facility Manager</li><li>Ensure consistent and clear communication with the Facility Manager and other internal &amp; external stakeholders</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to safe and efficient operations of the pipeline system</li></ul><h2><strong>What's in it for you</strong></h2><p>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in.
