ChampionX, has an immediate need for an Oilfield chemical service representative located in Slave Lake, AB, or the surrounding area. Application Specialist is an entry-level position in our oil field chemical sales division.If you are a passionate field service professional that likes to work in an autonomous, hands-on environment, we invite you to apply. This is your opportunity to join a large growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits. What’s in it For You:Flexible, independent work environment where you will manage your scheduleAccess to best-in-class resources, tools, and technologyThrive in a company that values a culture of safety to include top-notch safety training and personal protection equipmentCompany-paid pension plan, stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement.Paid vacation, sick and personal days.Comprehensive benefits package from day-1 that includes medical, dental, vision, travel insurance, life insurance, spouse/dependent life insurance, health/personal spending account, gym membership discount and more!What You Will Do:Work safely, promote a safety culture and actively work to achieve goal zero.Work collaboratively with a team of sales and operations professionals committed to customer service.Operate a company provided vehicle on various roadways including residential, highway, rural, and oil field leases.Collect chemical inventory from customer sites.Sample oil and gas field production fluids and assist with performing routine testing.Deliver chemical to customers as needed following TDG requirements.Document inventory using Microsoft Excel workbooks and/or other software.Maintain field inventories by ordering and dispatching product.Provide various services such as sample testing, light maintenance, service report generation, chemical ordering, chemical inventory management, general labor activities.Support the sales representatives and develop strong relationships with the key customer stakeholders in the accounts you supportGrow technical and sales knowledge with provided training so that you may:Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer pain points, escalating as required.Engage in problem-solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and completing onsite and laboratory testing to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.Assist co-workers in other areas as requiredPosition Details:Candidate must reside in Slave Lake, Red Earth Creek AB or the surrounding area.Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.This is a safety sensitive role and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma required.Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.Preferred Qualifications:Industry or relevant experience is preferred.Practical computer application literacy including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn internal business systems.Prior experience that required excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.Strong mechanical aptitude.Experience driving on oil field roads.Physical Demand:Ability to lift, squat and bend with heavy objects weighing up to approximately 50lbsAbility to climb stairs and laddersAbout ChampionXChampionX is a global leader in providing chemistry programs and services, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.
