The Project Specialist is the primary point-person responsible for planning, executing, and delivering corporate projects on time, within scope, and within budget, while also meeting the quality standards expected by our clientRESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;<ul><li>Participate in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes; prepare and administer work unit operating budget.</li><li>Establish a Project Management Office (PMO) that can support Automation, Fabrication and Communications departments.</li><li>Create and implement standardized project planning and management methodologies and work flows for all PM-related processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Coordinate and actively participate in all stages of project development including research, design, programming, testing and implementation.</li><li>Ensure concise, timely reporting and interaction with customers, finance, procurement, departments, and Senior Vice President to ensure projects are delivered as per purchase order terms &amp; conditions.</li><li>Complete projects in accordance with PMI and PMBOK methodologies, utilising Microsoft Project Management software and ensures projects are delivered to meet/exceed ‘as sold’ proposals along with meeting customer satisfaction requirements.</li><li>Regularly communicate and collaborate with other functional managers to discern areas for improvement, to share/gather information, to resolve cross-functional issues and to ensure an integrated, holistic approach to project management.</li><li>Conduct exception reporting with departments, customers and updating of information when change notices are approved.</li><li>Author and institutionalize procedural documents, forms, templates, training materials and work instructions to support PMO methodologies.</li><li>All other duties as assigned.</li></ul>JOB REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;<ul><li>5+ years of experience specifically in Automation, Control Systems, Panel Fabrication, or Communication projects.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.</li><li>Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMI, Agile, etc.).</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, etc.).</li><li>PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to Automation and Communication projects.</li><li>Demonstrated success in supporting proposal/estimating efforts across Automation, Fabrication and Communications.</li><li>Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.</li><li>Ability to adjust to changing priorities, deal with ambiguity and work with a variety of clients.</li><li>Ability to coach, mentor, and influence at all levels.</li><li>Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.</li><li>Proficient in MS Office Suite including MS Project, SharePoint.
