Operators actively assist with standard operating procedures, hazard assessments, safety programs and environment protection, while keeping in constant contact with customers and demonstrating excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service.<h2>Work Environment</h2>This position will be a 12-hour shift, 7 on / 7 off, working day shifts at our Redwater Full-Service Terminal.<h2>A Day in The Life</h2><ul><li>Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operation of the facility</li><li>Responsible for oilfield and industrial truck loading, unloading, oil emulsion and water, tank trucks, vac trucks &amp; hydrovacs.</li><li>Participating in waste processing, waste and mud tank operation, shaker &amp; centrifuge operations and solids treating</li><li>Responsible and accountable for the receipt, terminal storage and transportation of crude oil while adhering to Measurement &amp; Crude Oil Quality compliance.</li><li>Managing ongoing water injection, filter changing and pump maintenance</li><li>Conducting treatment of material on the waste pad</li><li>Conducting boiler operations, testing and glycol system operations</li><li>Ensuring that all corporate compliance programs are adhered to</li><li>Participates in the Health &amp; Safety Management System (HSMS)</li><li>Waste plant operation (ensuring solids processing is meeting or exceeding landfill criteria and solids testing)</li><li>Following water injection SOP’s and best practices to protect the disposal well integrity</li><li>General maintenance, ensure that the plant is kept clean and safe</li></ul><h2>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</h2><ul><li>A High School Diploma, General Education Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Experience in operating waste processing and oil treating or water injection an asset, but not required</li><li>Midstream terminal operations experience is considered an asset</li><li>Training in boilers, pumps (all), repairs, shaker/centrifuge and loader is considered an asset</li><li>Current and valid safety tickets, including H2S Alive, First Aid Level One C, Confined Space Entry, WHMIS and TDG</li><li>A strong attention to detail, communication skills with the ability to work long hours in a mentally and physically demanding work environment</li><li>Must be able to document their work, perform and manage cross shift communication and ensure clear communication with the rest of the team</li><li>Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate excellent decision-making skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues</li><li>Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and safe work practices</li><li>A valid and acceptable Driver’s license and successful completion of Pre-employment testing</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li><li>Be able to manage multiple priorities and have good time management skills</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in. The primary function of this position is to address mechanical issues and conduct preventative maintenance on all components of Sanjel Energy equipment. Seeking Journeymen with CVIP experience and current License. Red Seal required. Exceptional 4th year apprentices would be considered.General Responsibilities:<ul><li>Work alongside a team of mechanics, prioritizing daily tasks to ensure the efficient operation within the facility; fosters a culture of dedicated Safety and teamwork</li><li>Perform regularly scheduled CVIP inspections, and other assigned fleet maintenance tasks and duties</li><li>Complete refurbishments and updates to existing Sanjel equipment</li><li>Gain working knowledge of Sanjel's equipment</li><li>Check equipment for proper performance</li><li>Inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions and diagnose to determine extent of repair required</li><li>Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools</li><li>Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications</li><li>Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Journeyman/woman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with Inter-provincial Red Seal</li><li>Current CVIP License with direct CVIP experience is required</li><li>Strong 4th year apprentices would be considered</li><li>Knowledge of hydraulic systems and pumps, electrical skills, mechanical assembly etc.</li><li>Mechanical training in the oilfield industry (field experience) an asset</li><li>Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract</li><li>Thorough safety knowledge and practice</li><li>Driven, engaging individual who is a team player and can offer strong problem solving skills</li><li>Candidates with Military/Canadian Armed Forces experience are encouraged to apply</li></ul>Sanjel offers individuals a dynamic work environment.
