POSITION SUMMARYOur Instrumentation team is looking for qualified QA/QC candidate for work on various sites across western CanadaPROJECT DETAILS<ul><li>Work is in the Fort St. John area</li><li>15/6 rotation</li><li>12-hour days</li><li>LOA and travel allowance provided</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>CWB Level 1 is an asset</li><li>Must be a certified Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician</li><li>Swagelok tubing and fitting installation experience required</li><li>Tubing pressure testing knowledge</li><li>Valid non-GDL Driver's License</li><li>Industrial experience in a live plant setting is required</li><li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li></ul>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES&nbsp;<ul><li>Strong communicator (Both written and verbal)</li><li>Able build &amp; follow Inspection and Test Plans and perform a variety of inspections outlined in the ITP</li><li>Working knowledge of ABSA, B31.3, &amp; Z662</li><li>Ensures installations are compliant with applicable Codes/Standards</li><li>Practical knowledge of metering and test equipment</li><li>Ability to perform Instrument inspections, calibrations, &amp; tubing pressure testing</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office</li><li>Bluebeam experience an asset</li><li>Willingness to travel to remote locations on shift rotation</li><li>Document retention</li><li>Completion of Project Turnover to Clients</li><li>Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards</li><li>Distribute quality control documentation to site sub-contractors</li><li>Provide appropriate feedback to management regarding QA/QC matters</li><li>Perform pre-inspections and assist with material receiving processes to ensure that all fabricated and installed materials conform with the applicable standards, drawings, and specifications</li><li>Continually monitor work in progress via the QC audit process</li><li>Monitoring tubing installation, recording heat numbers</li><li>Ensuring proper size/grade is being used</li><li>Building Hydrotest packages, ensuring all applicable codes and standards are addressed</li><li>Drafting AB-083s</li><li>Material receiving, tracking MTRs</li><li>Comparing material grades to client standards</li></ul>Why work for Strike:Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.At Strike we continuously demonstrate leadership, drive, creativity, and initiative.
