We are hiring a general labourer to work in our Nisku team. &nbsp;Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the employee is responsible for the preparation of OCTG for threading, and completing final processes to ensure the customer and threading licensors’ requirements are met. &nbsp;Casing sizes range from 2 3/8” to 16”. &nbsp;You will be working in high volume, fast production environment, where you'll gain experience with the full threading process from preparation to completion.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:&nbsp;<ul><li>Operate tools and equipment to handle and prepare the OCTG within the manufacturing plant, including horizontal/ vertical saws, MRE swage units, coil induction stress relievers, phosphate application tanks, coupling torque machines, overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, sand blast cabinets, Techno stamping machines, and various hand tools.</li><li>Appropriate application and handling of hazardous chemicals as required by WHIMIS standards, including: paint, thread compounds, zinc and manganese phosphate.</li><li>Follow Argus Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>Read and carry out work instructions detailed on Production Orders. &nbsp; Complete documentation for work carried out. &nbsp;</li><li>Measure casing lengths and OD/ ID dimensions to close tolerances, using metric and imperial scales. &nbsp;Use math skills to convert measurement scales and determine average measurements.</li><li>Provide general shop and yard labour as required.</li><li>Identification of process improvements that will benefit workflow and assistance with implementation of approved improvements.</li><li>Clean and maintain the work area and equipment used daily.&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as requested by the supervisor.</li></ul>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>High school diploma with Grade 12 math or equivalent is required.</li><li>Machine shop experience is an asset.</li><li>A forklift ticket is an asset.</li><li>Ability to use measuring equipment.</li><li>General knowledge of products and services in relation to the oil and gas industry.</li><li>General understanding of safe work practices, Quality Assurance requirements, and Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) principles. &nbsp;</li></ul>
