COMPANY OVERVIEWHolcim is planning to spin-off its North American Business to unleash its full potential, capitalizing on North America’s oversized growth in construction led by the modernization of infrastructure, a surge in advanced manufacturing and AI operation and the growth of resilient cities. &nbsp; Holcim plans to list the new company on the NYSE by the end of the first half of 2025 and establish its operations headquarters in the US to be fully dedicated to serving the North American market and pursue a growth strategy across the region. &nbsp; The newly listed company will become North America’s leading building solutions company, with industry-leading market position to meet its customers’ greatest ambitions with the most advanced building solutions from foundation to rooftop.Overview&nbsp;Lafarge has an immediate opening for an experienced Labourer who will join our Fort McMurray RMX group.&nbsp;Responsibilities:&nbsp;<ul><li>Perform general construction labor to include plant clean-up and moving of materials by hand.</li><li>Operating motorized equipment including power tools, loaders, telehandlers</li><li>Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength.</li><li>Perform general plant maintenance ie. Greasing and inspecting plant.</li><li>Work could but could be exposed to cold and heat, noise and dust.</li></ul>Qualification&nbsp;Education:&nbsp;<ul><li>High school diploma</li></ul>Preferred Experience:<ul><li>Preference given to candidates with concrete construction labor work experience at meets or exceeds performance expectations.</li><li>Preference also given to those willing to learn and work in a team environment.</li></ul>Compentencies &amp; Attributes&nbsp;<ul><li>Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material&nbsp;and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested.</li><li>Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing.</li><li>Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.</li><li>Valid driver’s license</li><li>Safety oriented</li><li>Able to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment</li><li>Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including weekends</li><li>Able to work unsupervised</li><li>Able to work well with others</li><li>Good communication skills</li></ul>As part of our dedicated focus on the health and safety of all employees, a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check, may be required.YOUR LAFARGE EXPERIENCE At Lafarge, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
