You will work on a modern, evolving codebase alongside experienced developers, contributing to both new feature development and the continuous improvement of a live product. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in full stack development who is eager to grow their skills in React, React Native, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, and more.</p><p>This position will close by July 28th at 12 AM MST. They are collaborative team players who are passionate about what they do.</p><h2><strong>Work Environment</strong></h2><p>This full-time, permanent position can be based in Calgary, Alberta, and requires 40 hours per week in an in-office setting.</p><h2><strong>A Day in The Life</strong></h2><p>The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><strong>Full Stack Development:</strong> Design, develop, test, and maintain the complete application stack including NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL.</li><li><strong>Cloud &amp; DevOps: </strong>Support the deployment, scaling and monitoring of applications using AWS services. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Participate in troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud-hosted systems.</li><li><strong>Version Control:</strong> Use GitHub for version control and collaboration. Create pull requests, review code and provide feedback in code reviews.</li><li><strong>Bug Fixes &amp; Feature Enhancements:</strong> Investigate and resolve production issues and bugs. Collaborate with QA and Product to verify fixes and deliver a high-quality experience.</li><li><strong>Software Architecture: </strong>Contribute to architectural decisions and help define technical patterns and standards. Collaborate with other developer to enhance system scalability, performance and maintainability.</li></ul><h2><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h2><p>The individual in this role will have:</p><ul><li>4+ years of professional experience in full stack development.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.</li><li>Proficient in React, TypeScript, NodeJS and relational databases like PostgreSQL.</li><li>Experience working in a collaborative, Agile development environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.</li><li>Ability to break down and solve complex technical problems.</li></ul><p>The following are considered assets in this role:</p><ul><li>Experience with React Native for mobile development.</li><li>Exposure to AWS Services</li><li>Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (e.g. Jest) and a passion for writing reliable, tested code.</li></ul><h2><strong>What's in it for you</strong></h2><p>At SECURE, we are committed to fostering growth and continuous improvement—for our employees, customers, partners, and the communities where we operate.
