Ensure spill containment is on hand at all times.</li></ul>Reporting:<ul><li>Maintain an accurate account of the volume sold, rejected and resold on a daily basis. Submit reports on time to area administer.</li><li>Submit Quality Control report on a monthly basis to Quality Control Manager.</li><li>Ensure all COD money is collected before concrete is sold, unless otherwise directed from manager.</li><li>Keep an accurate account of COD sales. Maintain a COD log of quotes supplied with contact numbers.</li><li>Keep an accurate account of fuel usage. &nbsp;Ensure all invoices are approved by the Plant Manager. &nbsp;</li><li>Promote and ensure full usage driver tablets for electronic tickets, safety documentation, pre-trip inspections and ordering through our proprietary Concrete Direct system.</li><li>Ensure mechanic is receiving all inspection reports from drivers. Document issues with drivers.</li></ul>Sales: &nbsp;<ul><li>Communicate opportunities and threats to Plant Manager and Sales Representative. Communicate customer issues with plant manager and/or appropriate Lafarge employee. Ensure all COD calls are followed up on and strive to up sell all COD’s towards a VAP product.&nbsp;</li></ul>Transportation &amp; Logistics: &nbsp;<ul><li>Responsible for supervision of Ready Mix drivers on a daily basis.</li><li>Responsible for concrete batch operations. &nbsp;</li><li>Directs the activities of drivers while in the plant yard and through radio communications while on the job sites. &nbsp;</li><li>This position requires a thorough understanding of the concrete manufacturing process.</li><li>Work with mechanic to ensure efficient scheduling for routine maintenance on the plant and loader.</li><li>Schedule jobs to ensure best use of fleet. Schedule deliveries throughout the day to maximize truck turns per day when possible.</li><li>Effectively utilizes Lafarge’s maintenance programs to maximize plant up-time and manage costs. &nbsp;</li></ul>Administration: &nbsp;<ul><li>Manage inventory of materials and products through interface with Command and SAP. Performs, at minimum, one physical inventory counts each month.</li><li>Orders materials for concrete components and supplies for resale. Assist plant manager with various administrative works in the office.</li><li>When plant manager is absent from the office inform he/she of any important information that arrived during their absence.</li><li>Ensure all payrolls are accurate and prepared for the manager’s sign off in a timely manner.&nbsp;</li></ul>Operations Analysis and Action Tracking: &nbsp;<ul><li>Effectively utilizes KPIs, Performance Efficiency Reviews, financial statements and operational reports to track performance, establish effective action plans and continuously improve the operations. &nbsp;</li><li>Track and make adjustments to limit voided concrete.</li><li>Seek help when necessary.</li><li>Goal is less than 1% voided meters.</li><li>Limit call in no loads, top ups, and deadheads.</li><li>Maximize turns per day / per truck.</li><li>Ensure a full understanding of the batch computer and regularly verify batching tolerances.&nbsp;</li></ul>Plant Image: &nbsp;<ul><li>Maintains the plant in accordance with standard guidelines for plant image. &nbsp;</li><li>Plant image includes housekeeping, parts storage, vehicles and equipment condition (cleanliness and appearance), entrance &amp; property, and buildings. &nbsp;</li><li>Ensure all policies regarding day to day operations are followed. &nbsp;</li><li>Monitor concrete wash out is clean and drivers are held accountable for following set procedure. &nbsp;</li><li>Ensure that returned concrete is poured into block moulds and that block making area is keep clean.</li><li>Ensure block moulds are stripped and reset each morning. &nbsp;</li><li>Maintain a clean and organised work space.</li><li>Areas that customers/employees have accesses to must not contain any sensitive information. &nbsp;</li><li>Ensure general cleanliness of plant is upheld.</li><li>PPE for employees/guests should be on hand and in good order at all times.</li><li>Safety equipment must remain accessible and in good order at all times&nbsp;</li></ul>Specific Accountabilities:<ul><li>Safety performance objective is “Zero”, manage safe and healthy work practices of all staff</li><li>Responsible to achieve targeted KPI’s i.e. safety, service, volume delivered</li><li>Customer satisfaction</li><li>Utilization of best practices and operational management tools</li><li>Build strong employee morale</li><li>Implementation and adherence of Company policies, including environmental excellence, compliance with governmental regulations and record keeping</li><li>Development of operational personnel</li><li>Optimize productivity, and maximize labor and equipment utilization</li></ul> Qualification Profile<ul><li>Minimum 3-5 year’s supervisory experience</li><li>Experience in the ready mix business preferred</li><li>Excellent Communication skills – verbal and written</li><li>Good organization and planning skills</li><li>Able to multi-task, prioritize and maintain composure in a busy environment</li><li>Good computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP, Command-Alkon)</li><li>Self-Motivated</li><li>Available to work overtime as needed</li><li>Customer Service oriented &nbsp;</li></ul>We thank you for your interest.
