Technical Sales Speicalist – Role Overview&nbsp;We're growing and looking for a Technical Sales Specialist&nbsp;to join our Sales team. Reporting to the SaaS Sales Operations Manager, the Technical Sales Specialist will work closely with the SaaS Team, the Sales &nbsp;Team, as well as the Technical Advisory Group as part of the overall objective of driving and supporting sales of our cloud-based products.The primary focus of this role is on outside sales, where development, coverage and penetration of new accounts is required at a strategic and tactical level. Responsible for initiating prospect and client outreach via outbound B2B sales efforts as well as supporting inbound marketing campaigns, this role requires sales execution focus, support of technical demonstrations, and the ability to realize revenue growth. This focus extends to ensuring excellent customer satisfaction for prospective and existing clients.You are highly motivated, detail-oriented, and can apply your well-developed technical sales skills towards building product awareness and ensuring our clients are optimally served as part of the sales cycle. Technical Sales Specialist

We are currently looking for a Calgary, AB based position of Senior Technical Sales to be an integral part of our Business Development team. This person will be responsible for seeking out prospective clients through current contacts, networking and cold calling, and analyzing customer needs and interests to determine how Kobold products and services can best meet their requirements. In addition, you will serve as a key liaison between Operations, Engineering and the Sales group to support deliverables to the customer, and for pre- and post-well reporting and analysis.Required Skills / Expertise:Summary of duties (duties may include, but are not limited to the following):<ul><li>Generate new business through existing contacts, networking and cold calling.</li><li>Create and analyze pre- and post-job operation packages.</li><li>Compile post job reports.</li><li>Gather market intelligence and generate internal summaries for industry metrics with competitor emphasis.</li><li>Create sales and operations documentation to enhance the presentation and consistency of documentation provided to customers.</li><li>Other duties as assigned from time to time.</li></ul>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Knowledgeable and skilled in the operation and function of downhole technology.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to negotiate and up-sell with prospective customers.</li><li>Thorough, with consistent attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as to collaborate effectively with the full cross-section of personnel within Kobold.</li></ul>&nbsp;Education and Experience:<ul><li>5 years of sales or business development experience in one or more product lines: completions, drilling and/or formation evaluation.</li><li>Degree in Science would be considered an asset.</li><li>Experience specific to Oil &amp; Gas industry equipment.</li></ul>
