Though our roots run deep in Alberta’s oil fields, our reach and reputation span the globe.About the Role Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Shipper/Receiver will be a key member of our Shipping &amp; Receiving team. You’ll ensure the smooth, accurate, and timely flow of goods in and out of our facility, supporting both internal operations and external customer commitments. This role combines hands-on logistics, customer interaction, and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Coordinate all shipping, receiving, and material handling activities to maximize efficiency and accuracy.</li><li>Schedule inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring documentation is complete and shipments are properly packaged, loaded, and tracked.</li><li>Communicate proactively with customers, suppliers, project managers, and the materials manager to support on-time deliveries.</li><li>Inspect outgoing goods to confirm quality standards and compliance with documentation requirements.</li><li>Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely to move and load heavy or oversized materials.</li><li>Maintain detailed records and prepare shipping documents using ERP systems (GP Dynamics preferred), Outlook calendars, and Excel (including macros/VBA).</li><li>Oversee inventory of shipping supplies and conduct quality audits prior to final shipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve shipping/receiving discrepancies or documentation issues.</li><li>Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.</li></ul>What You Bring<ul><li>High School Diploma (or equivalent).</li><li>5+ years of warehousing/logistics/shipping &amp; receiving experience (asset).</li><li>Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.</li><li>Current forklift certification and ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes safely.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up.</li><li>Experience using ERP systems (GP Dynamics preferred) and strong MS Office skills, especially Outlook and Excel.</li><li>Effective communicator with proven ability to collaborate across teams and with customers.</li><li>Comfortable working under pressure, independently and in a team.</li><li>Physically capable of lifting and stacking products (5–75 lbs).</li><li>Commitment to safety and ability to read, write, and understand English instructions and documentation.</li></ul>Work Conditions<ul><li>Heavy industrial fabrication environment requiring PPE.</li><li>Combination of sitting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.</li><li>Use of ladders, stands, and scaffolding to inspect shipments as required.</li><li>Moderate to high levels of concentration in a busy, hands-on setting.</li><li>Occasional local travel for mail runs or delivery support.</li></ul>Why Join Exchanger?At EIL, you’ll be part of a company that’s built on trust and backed by experience.
