They are responsible for providing support to the GVA Construction, Pave and Infrastructure Operations and Estimating teams, while administering project accounting on a continual basis. The position will report to the General Manager and Finance Manager and also act as a resource for the administrative accounting staff. The Job Cost Accountant contributes to organizational excellence by continually promoting a culture of agility, collaboration and empowerment (ACE) enabling continuous improvement. &nbsp;WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH<ul><li>Effectively develops goals and objectives to implement actions, track performance and continuously look for opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Produces timely and accurate invoices and reports through careful attention to detail, and improvements to information processing.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors job activity through SAP and Track to ensure all revenue is being captured.</li><li>Estimated versus Actual Cost analysis by job.</li><li>Reviews job cost summaries with operations to identify and rectify any discrepancies.&nbsp;</li><li>Acts as a coordinator between Credit, Operations, Estimating, and Management to provide customer with timely and accurate invoices and resolutions to problems.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure job performance is accurately reported on a regular basis; through preparation of worksheets and journal voucher entry, cost allocations, revenue and cost accruals, and other journal entries as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides support for the General Manager, Credit Department, and the Accounting, Operations, and Estimating teams.&nbsp;</li><li>Directly reports to the Controller and General Manager.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Additional Education Preferred: Minimum 3rd level CMA/CGA Student or Higher. Field of Study Preferred: Accounting or related field. Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of Job Costing Experience. Required Training/Certifications: N/A Required Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
