Safety is the cornerstone of our culture, because if we are not safe, nothing else matters.</p><h2><strong>Your Opportunity at SECURE</strong></h2><p>We are currently looking for an experienced Short Haul Driver to join our Fort McMurray Waste Management team.</p><h2><strong>Work Environment</strong></h2><p>This is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in the Fort McMurray area. The role involves operating a roll-off truck and follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with potential for overtime. Please note that accommodations are not provided for this position.</p><h2><strong>A Day in The Life</strong></h2><p>Operate roll-off bin trucks in diverse weather conditions and challenging work site environments.</p><p>Adhere to all site-specific and jurisdictional traffic safety legislation.</p><p>Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of transport units and loads to ensure safe operations in accordance with NSC standards and regulatory requirements.</p><p>Complete all required daily safety documentation (e.g., JSAs, WSRAs) accurately and on time.</p><p>Ensure all loads are properly secured and remain within legal load limits at all times.</p><p>Submit all required documentation promptly, including logbooks, equipment inspection reports, time tickets, manifests, trip records, fuel logs, and credit card receipts.</p><p>Follow all company safety policies and procedures&nbsp;</p><p>Accurately complete all labeling, including shipping names, generator names, approval numbers, TDG Class, UN numbers, Packing Group numbers, and load numbers.</p><p>Inspect all waste materials to ensure compliance with the manifest, recycle docket, and bill of lading descriptions.</p><p>Maintain clear and effective daily communication with Dispatch to support customer needs and maximize operational efficiency.</p><p>Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks such as greasing, checking air filters, adjusting brakes, and setting brake systems.</p><h2><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Qualifications</strong></h2><p>Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract (copy must be provided).</p><p>Minimum 3 years of experience operating roll-off trucks.</p><p>Must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.</p><p>Proven experience driving on highways in a variety of weather and road conditions.</p><p>Proficient in completing daily logbooks and safety documentation.</p><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service.</p><p>Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working collaboratively in a team environment.</p><p>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.</p><p>Good knowledge of Fort McMurray roadways and surrounding areas.</p><h2><strong>What's in it for you</strong></h2><p>At SECURE, we focus on opportunities for growth and improvement; for our employees, our customers, our partners, and the communities we operate in. Short Haul Driver (6-Month Contract)

Safety is the cornerstone of our culture, because if we are not safe, nothing else matters.</p><h2><strong>Your Opportunity at SECURE</strong></h2><p>The Landfill Operator position is responsible for all operations at the landfill including scale operation, heavy equipment operation, truck ticketing system, landfill and building maintenance, and sampling. The individual in this role will be in constant contact with customers and therefore, must demonstrate excellent communications skills and a high level of customer service. As this is a safety-sensitive role and due to the nature of working conditions, the successful candidate is required to be mentally and physically fit to successfully perform the tasks and responsibilities of this role.</p><h2><strong>Work Environment</strong></h2><p>The schedule for this position involves 12-hour day shifts with a 7 on / 7 off rotation.
