We are currently searching for a full time Health, Safety &amp; Environment (HSE) Advisor to support our Operations in Grande Prairie, Alberta. &nbsp;&nbsp;The HSE Advisor will report to the HSE Manager and liaise with the Area Manager(s) &amp; Vice President of Canadian Operations.The position is primarily field-based, involving traveling to Colter’s work sites throughout Alberta and Northern British Columbia to complete inspections, audits and lead incident/accident investigations. Colter Energy offers competitive compensation, RRSP matching program, employee benefit program and company vehicle.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Audit/inspect work sites to ensure compliance of Company and Legislative standards</li><li>Manage preventative programs in line with legislation and Company requirements</li><li>Responsible for ensuring that appropriate PPE &amp; gas monitoring devices are being used</li><li>Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents to management</li><li>Ensure compliance with Colter’s Safety Management System</li><li>Conduct and review hazard assessments to ensure compliance</li><li>Act as a liaison between management and field staff</li><li>Ensure awareness, engagement and compliance of employees, contractors and managers</li><li>Effectively communicate and coordinate HSE issues/ dialogues with government agencies, medical representatives, etc.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality in dealing with employee records and business information</li><li>Maintain knowledge of all applicable OHS, CSA, ANSI, Environment Canada, etc. standards and administrative practices</li><li>Identify improvement opportunity by monitoring incidents in the workplace and develop action plans</li><li>Assist in the implementation of HSE incentives</li><li>Assist in the implementation of Quality control and equipment maintenance program</li><li>Recommend suitable strategies to area management to proactively reduce risks and potential loss exposure</li><li>Monitor employee compliance with Colter’s rules and standards</li><li>Assist WCB case management and reporting</li><li>Knowledge of Certificate of Recognition (COR) auditing standards</li><li>Maintain and foster a clean and organized work environment</li><li>Training, coaching and mentoring</li><li>Accident, Incident, Injury &amp; illness investigation &amp; management skills</li><li>Construct incident and follow up reports for stakeholders </li></ul>THE SUCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE –<ul><li>Professional, approachable and excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong work ethic, positive team attitude, self-motivated and organized</li><li>Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy</li><li>Strong computer skills</li><li>Minimum of 5 years experience in Well Testing at a Supervisory level</li><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience with regards to Health and Safety Program Management, incident investigation and follow up reporting</li><li>Reside in the Grande Prairie area (within 45 minutes of our shop)</li><li>Strong knowledge of Occupational Health &amp; Safety Standards and Industry Recommended Practice.</li><li>Required certifications; Standard First Aid AB/BC, H2S Alive and drivers abstract</li><li>Clean driving record &nbsp;</li></ul>Salary range will be between $ 85,000 to $ 90,000 based on experience.Pre-employment Drug &amp; Alcohol screens are required for all Safety Sensitive Positions.
