Our growing company is currently looking to hire Purchasing Agent to join our Supply Chain team,&nbsp;based out of our Fort St. John&nbsp;office. &nbsp;Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Process orders from start to finish, following procedures and ensuring proper communication. Confirm delivery details, enter parts into the system, and keep data error-free.</li><li>Conduct product research for pricing, availability, and sourcing. Track and communicate all backorders efficiently.</li><li>Pick orders, assist in receiving to gain knowledge, and off-load freight as needed. Arrange loading and transport of materials.</li><li>Pursue cost savings opportunities and follow inventory control procedures.</li><li>Maintain relationships with vendors and field staff. Assist the shipping and receiving department.</li><li>Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental practices. Attend Safety Meetings regularly.</li></ul>Qualifications Required:<ul><li>Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills.</li><li>Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.</li><li>Must be an effective listener with effective communication skills both written and verbal.</li><li>Must be organized and have the ability to manage a variety of time sensitive tasks at one time.</li><li>Must have experience with Excel, Word, Outlook.</li><li>Participation in On Call Schedule</li></ul>
