Buyer/Planner - Downhole Manufacturing
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Buyer/Planner is responsible for the documentation control requirements of the production/manufacturing department. Maintaining product flow through the facility and purchase orders related to manufacturing work orders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze MRP requirements and release orders to production
- Prepare complete manufacturing order documentation packages including drawings and inspection reports
- Monitor material inventory requirements
- Track progress of production
- Review and identify factors which affect schedules
- Review open manufacturing order statuses and confirm documentation compliance with SOX
- Maintain accurate manufacturing order schedule with Production Supervisor
- Prepare and process all purchase requirements relating to outside process services of the manufactured items and assist in the purchase of component raw materials and supplies as required. Update and maintain purchase order dates and schedules
- Follow up on all purchase order processes as related to supplier quality management and accounts payable requirements
- Coordinate with planning and production management to ensure product is on time and communicate any issues/updates/changes
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a must
- Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
- ERP systems; JD Edwards, Microsoft based
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- JDE
- Other ERP systems
