Location: Redcliff, AB (9 km outside of Medicine Hat, AB)

Status: Full–Time Permanent

Schedule: 13 days on & 8 days off

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain coil tubing units and associated equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines, including rigging up and rigging down equipment at well sites, ensuring all connections and fittings are secure. Other duties include carrying out various coil tubing operations, such as wellbore cleanouts and stimulation treatments as directed required.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of fracturing fluids and proppants, ensuring they meet specified standards and requirements.

Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety regulations, procedures and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-job equipment checks and maintenance to ensure proper functioning and readiness for operation.

Troubleshooting: Monitor and control the operation of the coil tubing unit during well intervention activities, adjusting parameters as necessary to optimize performance and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on coil tubing equipment, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues as they arise.

Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate coil tubing activities, communicate job progress, and address any challenges encountered during operations. 

Documentation: Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly, including job reports, equipment maintenance records, and safety documentation.

Environmental Compliance: Follow established procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in coil tubing operations or a related field is preferred, though training may be provided for candidates with relevant mechanical or technical backgrounds.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining coil tubing equipment, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of coil operations.

Safety Consciousness: Commitment to adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations, with a demonstrated track record of promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.

Communication: Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.

Physical Stamina: Ability to work long hours in demanding outdoor conditions, including exposure to extreme temperatures, loud noise, and potentially hazardous chemicals.

Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours and be on call as needed, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the demands of coil operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Must live around the Medicine Hat area or be willing to relocate. (Relocation assistance provided if you have 3 + years experience working in the energy sector)
  • Willing/able to travel out of town for work in all weather conditions.
  • Have clean class 5 drivers abstract.
  • Pass a pre-employment test.
