Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy

As our Field Service Representative, you will be involved in the day-to-day aspects of drilling a well, from; attending on-site meetings, performing the testing, maintaining inventories of specialty products and coordinating orders from nearby warehouses to the drill site.  If issues arise while drilling, often the drilling fluids representative is the first point of contact due to the importance of the fluid system in mitigating issues.

This role is field based in Alberta.

A Day in The Life

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Test the physical and chemical properties of drilling fluids
  • Recommend maintenance of drilling fluids
  • Coordinate and maintain inventory.
  • Coordinate drilling fluid supervision.
  • Communicate with rig crews and head office
  • Report accurate well re-cap information
  • Complete all required paperwork from on-site operations up to and including invoicing
  • On call with equipment at all times
  • Be responsible for company equipment.
  • Work Safely at all times.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

The individual in this role will have:

  • A minimum 3 years oilfield rig experience is preferred
  • PET or Engineering degree
  • Capable of working with little or no supervision and confident to troubleshoot fluid issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good driving record required
  • All Safety Certifications – H2S, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid
