Overview
Lafarge is has an immediate Loader Operator opportunity in Carseland, the duties of a Loader Operator include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
Fully trained in the operations and capability of a front end wheel loader
May require considerable physical activity, must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting
Assist with a variety of job operations
Assist with plant maintenance
Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment
Responsible for completing daily equipment checklist
Monitoring and ensuring accurate weights
Monitor material production within specifications
Ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product
Create an atmosphere of teamwork
Seek out and implement Best Practices
Safety & Enviornment:
Adhere to all company safety and environmental practices and policies – training provided
Maintenance:
Operate and perform routine maintenance on their loader including, includes washing and cleaning the operator’s cab inside and out, greasing, refueling, and maintaining all fluid levels
Responsible for updating and maintaining all equipment service records for any piece of equipment operated, keeping accurate and thorough records of the maintenance performed, the hours on the unit, date, time, etc.; complete proof of regular service may be required
Qualifications and Competencies:
Safety Oriented
Able to lift 55 lbs
Able to work in a fast paced, high production environment
Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays
Able to work unsupervised
Able to work well with others
Good communication skills
Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Min 2 years of experience operating a loader
Mechanically Inclined
Ability to read survey markings.
Work Schedule:
- 12 hours shift rotation.
