Machinery Diagnostic Engineer

Partner with the best
As a Machinery Diagnostic Engineer you will be responsible for all resources, and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Develops a year plan for its own department. Is involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working. Contributes to plan of larger unit.


As a Machinery Diagnostic Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Diagnosing machinery faults based upon vibration data and customer problem descriptions

Balancing rotating equipment including turbomachinery, pumps, motors, and fans

Writing technical reports providing conclusions and recommendations for customer equipment following each assignment.

Building relationships with customers to provide a high level of service and become their trusted advisor for rotating equipment health

Applying Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance

Traveling to customer sites to provide supporting service, reliably managing cost and schedule

Preparing invoices and documents, ensuring compliance with an internal documentation system

Being a good custodian of company assets including tools and instrumentation

Carrying instrumentation and equipment up to 50 pounds in weight

Prioritizing work to achieve business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Proposing performance improvement and action plans

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical recommended) from an accredited college or university (or 10+ years of applicable industry experience)

Complete 3+ years of industry experience in either the Power Generation, Chemical Production, Refining, Metallurgical, or other similar industries

Display an advanced mechanical aptitude and experience with rotating equipment found throughout the Power Generation, Chemical Production, Refining, Metallurgical, or other similar industries

Be able to communicate complex technical information to customers and stakeholders

Have ability to work independently and be able to identify and drive process improvements

Be able to travel regionally to work with customers on-site up to 80% of the time

Have a passport (or be able to obtain a passport) and hold a driver’s license

Demonstrate a proactive approach to work and flexibility to adapt to ever-changing conditions under new challenges
