Mechanical Repair Technician
Position Overview
The Mechanical Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing the MWD product line; this includes basic service of each module, identifying damaged parts and post service testing. This role also includes careful documentation in both digital and paper formats. The duties in this role can vary from simple repairs to complex problem solving and fault analysis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the repair and service of MWD tools; perform preventative maintenance and various tests
- Analyze and inspect defects; identify faulty components
- Assemble new tool modules and build subassemblies
- Maintain parts inventory and keep record of services
- Input tool hours and specifics into Pacesetter’s information management system
Education, Experience, Technical Qualifications
- High School Diploma and Technical School Certification, Diploma or Degree required (related field)
- 1-3 years of related industry experience and/or training
- Requires a strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel)
Additional Skills
- Ability to determine priorities and allocate time and resources effectively
- Must demonstrate great attention to detail
- Consistent work habits are very important
