Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy

As our Project Controls Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Well Operations Group within the Environmental and Waste Management Infrastructure division. This role will assist in the ongoing development and enhancement of project control processes and strategy and, ultimately, assist in the establishment and expansion of SECURE’s Cost Control Program.

This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta.

This is a full-time permanent position working in an office environment.

A Day in The Life

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to assist in developing solutions and support for Well Operations.
  • Attend and actively participate in project planning sessions.
  • Provide ERP support, from Project Creation to Project Close Out.
  • Support vendor management, including new vendor onboarding.
  • Assist Project Managers in reporting on forecasted impacts to budgets and schedules and provide input on courses of action to maintain baselines.
  • Provide support to team members communicating with Senior Leaders regarding project status updates.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project control and reporting templates.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

The individual in this role will have:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in Project Controls or Administration.
  • Experience the Oilfield - Well Operations would be an asset.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and communicate with varied Stakeholders and Groups.
  • Ability to develop relationships within a project setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Apps, SharePoint, DocuSign & Outlook.
  • Experience with an ERP; especially Microsoft D365 F&O, is a definite asset.
  • Experience with OpenInvoice considered an asset.
  • Detail oriented.
  • An understanding of SECURE’s services and operations.

  • Business Administration Diploma
  • Petroleum Land Administration Certificate
  • Formal training in Cost Control
