Right now, we are looking to hire a Project Controls Coordinator to join our team, based out of our Grande Prairie and/or Calgary offices.  The ideal candidate has experience reviewing PO’s, scope of work, bid documentation, managing project folders, supporting invoicing, and distributing reports. This is a hybrid role after the training period. 

AS OUR PROJECT CONTROLS COORDINATOR, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO: 

  • Track actual project costs against budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze cost variances and trends, and report deviations to the project team.
  • Work closely with the major project team to maintain, update and ensure accuracy and understanding of project status, issues and changes.
  • Work with procurement to ensure proper cost allocation for materials.
  • Monitor and track contract expenditures, including change orders and contingency usage.
  • Able to quickly grasp complex system requirements and convey them to a variety of audiences from senior level management to field level staff.
  • Provide support and guidance to project management and all project team members to ensure adherence to client standards, contract management, CDN required procedures, and document control management.
  • Prepares and distribute high quality, accurate and timely reporting such as; cost tracking, progress payment reports, RFIs, and other required reports and documentation.
  • Prepare required project set up and documentation, project change orders, reports, and other required documents for new project kick off.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including SharePoint and Power BI. 
  • Experience in record keeping, cost control and contract management.
  • Prior experience in a construction setting, either field or corporate, is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must be willing and able to take initiative on tasks and coordinate with other members of the project team.
  • Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
