Job Description

As a Project Coordinator, you are responsible for project management through the delivery of various projects within the Decommissioning and PL abandonment group. Operating in a diverse and competitive environment, this position will supervise and oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring safe, effective operations with a client-centred focus. Projects will be completed within required guidelines according to schedule, contract specifications, timelines, and budgets to drive successful outcomes for continued growth and success. Collaboration with others will be vital to keeping open lines of communication and maintaining a high standard of service delivery. The Project Coordinator will always perform the work and ensure adherence to FLINT's core values and exemplary ethical standards.

What would you be doing?

  • Project and Field Management: Prepare work plans, manage contractor bidding documents, oversee decommissioning and pipeline abandonment activities, supervise crews, and ensure site safety compliance.
  • Cost and Progress Monitoring: Control and monitor project costs, track site progress, and maintain accountability for all project documentation, including risk management and progress tracking.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance to team members through onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, development, and succession planning.
  • Vendor Relations and Collaboration: Build and maintain professional relationships, participate in meetings and training events, and foster collaboration among project contributors and subcontractors.
  • Administrative and Safety Oversight: Complete daily administrative tasks (e.g., time tickets, invoices) and implement corporate and client safety programs to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6+ years in project management or superintendent roles, ideally with a focus on decommissioning projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to influence decision-makers and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to dynamic priorities, and take a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
  • Competency in using the MS Office suite effectively.
  • Strong collaboration, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to cultivate productive relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizations.
