Your Opportunity at SECURE

The Project Coordinator acts as a supporting role to the Project Manager and is responsible for assisting in the gathering, distributing, and organizing information in relation to estimating, project setup, proposal submissions, reporting, safety, profitability, costing. At this level, a Project Coordinator will begin internal facing and contribute to their team.

Work Environment

The role of Project Coordinator is structured as a full-time position, working 5 days a week, 40-hours, with the potential for overtime depending on project requirements and deadlines.

The selected candidate will be required to live in Swift Current, SK. 

A Day in The Life

  • Adhere to SECURE safety policies, coordinate with the Safety Department, and actively participate in safety meetings.
  • Assist in preparing estimates, interpreting tender documents, and conducting take-offs.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and internal teams (Legal, Finance, EHS) to ensure compliance with bidding and project setup processes.
  • Observe and assist with scheduling, planning activities, and perform administrative functions such as site documentation and supervisor folder creation.
  • Visit project sites to understand scope, supervise on-site personnel, and provide support as needed.
  • Track labour, equipment, and third-party costs daily; assist in progress invoicing and maintaining project tracking binders.
  • Identify risks, support risk mitigation strategies, and evaluate third-party contractors through ISNetworld.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Recent college diploma or degree, preferably in an Environmental program or Engineering.
  • 0-2 years discipline-related experience.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency working with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Lead by example and commit to positively lead and influence the Secure Safety Culture.
  • Ability to work with multiple Project Managers/Coordinators on multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Thrive for the challenge of a multi-discipline environment that changes quickly and requires accurate attention to details and solid commitment to follow through on tasks without direction.
