Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for project management through the delivery of various projects within the Environmental Services Division.  Operating in a diverse and competitive environment, this position will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring safe, effective operations with a client-centred focus. Projects will be completed within required guidelines according to schedule, contract specifications, timelines, and budgets to drive successful outcomes for continued growth and success. Collaboration with others will be vital to keeping open lines of communication and maintaining a high standard of service delivery. The PM will always perform work and ensure adherence to FLINT's core values and exemplary ethical standards.   

What would you be doing? 

  • Plan and execute small-scale projects, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and maintaining high-quality standards while resolving issues as they arise. 
  • Prepare work plans, contractor bidding documents, requests for proposals, and manage contractor procurement, ensuring all documentation is thorough and compliant. 
  • Control, forecast, and monitor all project-related costs while tracking site progress against planned work, ensuring accountability for financial management. 
  • Oversee the management of interfaces between different project groups, including subcontractor management, and maintain a project risk register to identify and mitigate risks effectively. 
  • Establish and maintain a system for recording, tracking, and progressing all project documentation using project management software to ensure organized and accessible records. 
  • Liaise with government and regulatory bodies on behalf of clients for regulatory applications and submissions, support the analysis of environmental and regulatory risks, develop professional contacts, participate in training and meetings, implement safety programs, and complete all administrative duties within required timelines.

  • $100,200 - $121,575/Yr, your compensation will be based on your cumulative skills, education and work experience.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of 6 years of project management experience, particularly in environmental-related projects, alongside 4+ years of relevant regulatory and environmental consulting experience. 
  • Hold a Technical Diploma or University Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline, with eligibility for a professional designation (P.Ag, RP.Bio, P.Eng, P.Geo., etc.). 
  • Demonstrate strong business and financial acumen, with excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable effective influence over decision-makers and the building of relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment while adapting to changing priorities. 
  • Take a proactive approach to problem-solving, displaying initiative and the capability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work setting. 
  • Show proficiency in the MS Office suite and a proven ability to develop strong working relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizations, along with strong teamwork, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
