Quality Assurance Inspector

Master Flo Valve Inc. is currently seeking a full-time permanent Quality Control Inspector to work with our team in Edmonton, AB.

Work Conditions:

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Option for overtime.
  • Work is primarily performed indoors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection of incoming parts in accordance with relevant purchasing, engineering, and quality requirements as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor.
  • Inspect welding components while recording all relevant information as per Purchase/Work order.
  • Review MTR, NDE, coating, heat treatment, and other documentation as per relevant requirements.
  • Identification, recording, and processing of non-conformances.
  • Perform hardness testing as required.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to Safety requirements.
  • Senior level only: Inspection of R&D parts, Calibration, maintenance and tracking of all inspection equipment. The successful senior level candidate will also possess problem solving and strong math skills, trigonometry, and special measurement calculation skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or Quality Control Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary Engineering Technical Qualification (Technical College/ University) is an asset
  • Senior Level: 5 to 10 years of machine shop inspection and / or quality control inspection experience, and Engineering Technology education is required
  • Junior to Intermediate Level: less than 5 years of machine shop inspection and / or quality control inspection experience,
  • Working knowledge of technical drawing / blueprint reading is required
  • Good knowledge of applicable internal procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP operating system an asset.
  • Oil and Gas equipment manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven commitment to workplace health and safety
