ABOUT THE ROLE
The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for scheduling concrete deliveries, managing customer interactions, and ensuring accurate batching to produce a high-quality product that meets customer requirements. Located at our Grande Prairie facility, this role supports daily operations by overseeing driver scheduling, plant efficiency, and raw material orders. The position requires leadership in maintaining a safe work environment, time Ready Mix Driver duties as needed. Safety is the top priority, requiring strict adherence to company policies and regulations.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Efficiently schedule driver call-ins and deliveries while balancing plant capacity and customer expectations.
- Oversee daily customer project coordination to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage plant operations, including equipment maintenance, supply orders, and raw material inventory.
- Ensure compliance with environmental policies and promote a safe working environment.
- Supervise subcontractor and internal maintenance team activities to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the batching process to maintain consistent, high-quality concrete production.
- Train and mentor new Ready Mix Drivers as part of an ongoing development program.
- Provide excellent customer service through phone interactions and in-person visits.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: Experience in ready mix concrete or a related field preferred
Required Training/Certifications: Needs to have a Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q – Drivers abstract
Required Technical Skills: Able to operate manual transmission – 10 Speed or higher preferably, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ability to quickly learn new software programs

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
