Senior Account Manager
ChampionX has an immediate need for a Sr Account Manager located Bonnyville/Cold lake AB area.
This position independently manages a portion of the district portfolio with significant accountability to gain new business. Adept at bundling products and anticipating customer needs. Harnesses external network to pursue target business opportunities. Effectively negotiates less complex customer deals. Counsels district representatives and coaches moderate-sized customers. Formal advisor on training curriculum for district representatives.

What You Will Do:
Work closely with current customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned territory.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current customers, including plant or facility executives.
Generate and execute sales plans in assigned customer base to meet defined territory profit increase goals.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customers, including plant or facility executives.
Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer requests, escalating as required.
Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
Actively sell and support ChampionX innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with ChampionX.
Possible travel within assigned sales territory
Position Details:
Candidate must reside in Bonnyville or Cold Lake AB area

Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (Driver's Abstract)
This is a safety sensitive position and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing
This role requires individual to be clean shaven to comply with customer site policy and safety requirement.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of successful technical sales or field sales support experience
Experience working in the oil and gas industry
High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)
History of working autonomously in the field and ability to demonstrate self-motivation
Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask
Physical Demands:
Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.
Must have the ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial), or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
5-10 years of successful technical sales or field sales support experience
Previous Petrochemical experience
Specialty chemical industry experience
Prior experience that required excellent communication skills
Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills
Account leadership experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goals
