Shipper/Receiver

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor and/or Lead Hand Shipping Receiving, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for unloading materials, preparing materials for shipping, filling work orders, and monitoring inventory.

Key Position Functions:

• Unload, sort, and inspect incoming material
• Prepare outgoing material for shipment
• Ensure proper paper work flow of Purchase Orders and packing slips
• Monitor and maintain strong inventory records
• Organize and maintain the work area; including maintenance of equipment, product storage containers, and racking
• Assist with wellhead assemblies (as required)
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to complete work duties
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
• Participate in rotational on call schedule
• Assist with shop housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

• High School Diploma
• 1 to 2 years of related shipping and receiving experience
• Strong computer skills with experience using SAP preferred
• Inventory management an asset
• Mechanical assembly/repair experience an asset
• Forklift experience is an asset
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Strong communication (oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, strong work ethic, and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license
