Great North, a Dril-quip company is looking to add a Shipper/Receiver to its Grande Prairie location.
Reporting directly to the Grande Prairie Facility Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Personnel are responsible for working directly with the sales, production staff, and applicable processes utilized in the means and facilitation of production, shipping, and procurement of goods and service. Service is paramount to our customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Oversee sales orders and incoming/outgoing product to support purchase orders, and work in concert with all order desk, purchasing, and field-service functions and related staff.
- Arrange logistics to secure sound and timely shipment to and from all applicable facilities.
- Ensure all paperwork is complete, concise, and accurate to documented procedures to ensure “first–pass” success.
- Assist in coordinating the inventory levels on all consumables for the group(s) to ensure common inventories at all times.
- Cross-train/liaise with the applicable staff ensuring continual success in production, productivity, accuracy, quality, and inventory levels for all products and related services.
- Cross-train/liaise with the applicable staff in best practices for all processes/procedures, both documented and un-documented.
- Accountable for your area’s cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Jointly accountable with the Shop Forman for the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the exterior of the facility and its storage conditions.
- Assist and actively mentor all staff, knowing continual visibility and growth is paramount.
- Assist in Non-Conformance Report (NCR) meetings, investigations, actions, and resolutions as applicable.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Fluent in English, must communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized, must be willing to work independently (after proper training), and be a self-starter.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-directed, able to shift and set priorities.
- High degree of competence, reliability, and judgement demonstrated in all aspects of work
- Ability to function in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with multiple time sensitive priorities.
- Ability to competently operate a forklift.
- Minimum 1 year practical experience, as deemed acceptable by department manager.
