Your Opportunity at SECURE
We are currently looking for a motivated and driven Site Supervisors with strong leadership and project management skills. .
The Team
Join our growing team working on projects throughout the oil sands in Fort McMurray with a specific focus on demolition, decommissioning and metals recycling.
Work Environment
This is a 14/7 rotational shift with fly-in and fly-out to site from Calgary or Edmonton.
A Day in The Life
- Maintain safety on site, ensuring all SECURE's safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Oversee all site crews including site foremen, operators, labourers, and contractors.
- Liaise with Project Managers to ensure work is being carried out according to the scope of work.
- On-site implementation and monitoring of the Health and Safety programs.
- Supervise all heavy equipment operations, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule, within budget and in accordance with SECURE's safety policies.
- Supervise the handling or loading of all materials to and from site.
- Working with hand tools, moving materials on the construction/demolition site, generally assisting other workers in completing the work
- Performing routine maintenance on tools/equipment, loading and unloading equipment
- Data entry and reporting of costs.
- Ensure QC documentation is completed in the field.
- some heavy lifting and physically demanding duties.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with an emphasis in metals recycling, sorting and processing materials.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for this position.
- Candidates must be able to work overtime with a flexibility to travel. Ability to work shifts (depending on client requirements) for up to several weeks at a time.
- Able to build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization is essential, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Prior equipment operating experience.
- Valid industry safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, Ground Disturbance Instructor Taught, and CSTS).
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
- Proficiency with computers and MS Office software.
- Work and/or travel in varied terrains, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation
