Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Product Strategy & Merchandising, this position is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives that support the organization's broader business objectives. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic sourcing plan, working closely with the Product Strategy team to identify opportunities for global sourcing that support our product strategy direction and enhance overall programs. This role involves collaborating with Product Strategy, Logistics, Supply Chain, and international suppliers to refine programs, source products effectively, and negotiate partnership agreements. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and demonstrate a strong ability to scale manufacturing partnerships while achieving goals related to cost, supply, and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic sourcing plans that align with organizational goals and product strategies through identify and evaluate global sourcing opportunities and conducting market research on emerging trends.
  • Build and manage relationships with manufacturing partners, negotiate commercial terms, and oversee sample production to ensure quality standards and favorable outcomes in cost, supply, and quality.
  • Monitor production capacity and implement quality assurance processes to ensure timely delivery, scalability, and consistent product quality throughout the manufacturing cycle.
  • Optimize freight and logistics strategies and collaborate with logistics teams to integrate sourcing with supply chain operations and reduce costs.
  • Align sourcing strategies with product strategy development and market demands, working closely with product strategy and cross-functional teams to address challenges and implement solutions.
  • Analyze existing sourcing programs, identify process improvements, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Track and report key performance indicators, stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, and foster continuous improvement through innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Share insights and best practices with the Product Strategy team to strengthen overall sourcing effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience and demonstrated skills are also highly valued.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in global sourcing, supply chain management, or procurement, with a focus on optimizing cost, supply, and quality.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, logistics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong negotiation, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Able to communicate information, including complex topics, in a clear and understandable manner.
