Job Summary: 

A Warehouse Manager will be responsible for and accountable to; effectively lead the site's need for logistics, inventory/ materials control and site’s need for support purchasing functions (shop consumables, tooling, local supplies, spot purchasing etc.).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise/lead the team in all aspects of the site’s inventory/materials controls so all items are identified, properly located and quantities on hand known.
  • Ensure that all aspects of NOV safety policy are strictly adhered to by yourself and your team.
  • Support your manager by planning that your team are trained, competent and appropriately resourced. 
  • Validate by cycle counting all inventory/materials by locations and quantities with minimal reconciliation.
  • Control all aspects of inventory adjustment comply with NOV procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that any and all shipping and receiving transactions are actioned accurately, quickly, timely and appropriately packaged/unpackaged both physically and electronically.
  • Utilize and arrange that all avenues of external logistics (hot shot/trucking etc.) is organized, effective timely and offers financial value.
  • Accurately issue all raw materials to the manufacturing process both electronically and physically.
  • As an integral part of the manufacturing process ensure your teams accurate and timely support of delivering raw materials to the entry points and extraction of finished goods from the exit points, of the manufacturing process.
  • Have all process work orders closed accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Supervise/Lead the purchasing actions to acquire all site related consumable needs (carbide inserts, packaging, trade items etc.).
  • Ensure that all site areas outside of the direct manufacturing footprint are safe, organized, optimized and clean. 
  • Oversee and control the sites material handling vehicles (forklifts/pickups/frontend loaders) are safe, well maintained and available for use.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School or GED required. Post-secondary education desirable but not essential.
  • Must have 5+ years relevant and direct experience in similar roles.
  • Proven experience in inventory control and materials management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

  • Extensive MRP/ERP experience (JDE Pref).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • APICS / CSCP / Eqv. Desirable not essential.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Forklift certification
