Master Flo Valve Inc.&nbsp;is currently seeking a full-time permanent Commercial Manager&nbsp;to work with our team in&nbsp;Edmonton, AB.This position will be responsible for managing assigned aspects of the front end of the business and supporting the Proposals and Project Management Team to successfully bid, win, and deliver orders. This position reports to the Director of Proposals and Project Management.What Master Flo offers YOU:<ul><li>Competitive compensation package, including a RRSP match program, profit sharing program, dental care, vision care, and extended health care</li><li>Job security: have peace of mind working for a stable company that has been in business for over 45 years!</li><li>The chance to work for a global leader while enjoying the benefits of a privately-owned business</li><li>Flexible work hours available after 6 months of employment</li><li>A team-first positive working environment where ingenuity and entrepreneurial thinking are rewarded with career advancement opportunities</li><li>The opportunity to play a key role in helping the world's leading energy producers meet their most challenging flow management requirements</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Use product knowledge to provide technical guidance and support to the Proposals and Project Management Team and Regional Offices staff.</li><li>Support Inside Sales staff to ensure proposals are technically and commercially compliant, competitively priced and meet delivery requirements.</li><li>Work in close collaboration with other departments to identify potential problem areas and implement mitigation strategies.</li><li>Responsible to monitor the more complex orders and their contractual commitments made to our customers.</li><li>Support with monthly product margin review.</li><li>Assist with the review of customers’ terms and conditions.</li><li>Assist with the issuance of bank guarantees.</li><li>Lead the development, creation and implementation of productivity tools, processes and applications.</li><li>Assist with completion of customers’ AVL pre-qualification requests/questionnaires.</li><li>Point contact and liaison with Legal for the maintenance of Master Flo Valve’s trademarks.</li><li>Maintain a strong project monitoring process to ensure projects meet company commitments to customers.</li><li>Manage process improvement projects across departmental boundaries, leading the cross-functional team assigned to those projects.</li><li>Facilitate team collaboration and communication across departments.</li><li>Ensure team’s adherence to procedures and process standards.</li><li>Resolve or escalate internal or customer issues in a timely manner.</li><li>Other duties that may be assigned as required.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>University degree in a technical field, Engineering preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.</li><li>2 - 5 years of management experience in a rigorous and detail-oriented environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of order processing in a manufacturing environment (oil and gas industry preferred).</li><li>Proven supervisory and leadership skills required.</li><li>Valve sales experience will be considered an asset.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of SAP is an asset.</li><li>Ability to communicate verbally or in writing with high and equal effectiveness.</li><li>Able to provide leadership, coordination, guidance and drive issues resolution.</li><li>Capable of working with minimal supervision.</li><li>A commitment to workplace health and safety.</li></ul>We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates identified for further consideration will be contacted.
