The PLC Specialist based in Nisku, AB will be part of the Ensign Drilling Solutions team responsible for the planning, design and delivery of drilling rig automation and performance systems. This position will use technical, analytical, and programming skills to assist in the development, deployment and maintenance of drilling rig automation systems and applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The position will take a lead role on deployment projects, provide technical consulting, develop electrical controls systems, and provide remote technical support across global drilling divisions. Must be willing to learn the drilling process in order to effectively perform job duties.Reporting directly to the Drilling Solutions Operations Supervisor the PLC Specialist will:<ul><li>Assist in the development of control systems for drilling rig</li><li>Deploy and commission PLC based control systems on drilling rigs globally as an individual or as part of a team (this will require travel to field locations</li><li>Provide remote technical support to end users and field technicians</li><li>Assist in the deployment and support of remote access communications systems</li><li>Maintain professional attitude while working in intense environments with internal and external customers</li><li>Capture specifications and user requirements</li><li>Work with engineering &amp; operations to determine detailed design and best practices</li><li>Work comfortably with field personnel</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team</li><li>Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Be able and willing to travel globally to the field or other office locations as required (up to 50% travel may be required)</li><li>Accredited technical degree or bachelor’s in an engineering-based discipline</li><li>5 years of direct PLC based programming and commissioning experience in industrial or oil &amp; gas environments considered in lieu of a degree</li><li>Minimum five years working with at least one of the following PLC systems: Siemens, GE, Omron, and/or Allen-Bradley</li><li>Minimum two years working with HMI software applications</li><li>Proficient in PLC programming software suites including: Siemens TIA Portal, Omron CX- One, Allen-Bradley Rockwell Studio 5000, and/or GE Proficy</li><li>HMI development experience with at least one of the following: Ignition by Inductive Automation, PanelView, CX-designer, and GE Cimplicity</li><li>Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Posses a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record</li><li>Posses or able to obtain a Canadian passport</li><li>Able to perform physically demanding work including climbing several flights of stairs, working at heights, and lifting equipment weighing up to 50lbs</li></ul>This position will be based in Nisku, AB. ENGINEERING - PLC TECHNICIAN

Currently we are looking for Drillers and Assistant Drillers that have worked on automated or conventional singles.Our ADR-300 &amp; 400 AC rigs will be working in the Cold Lake / Bonnyville / Lloydminster area. Drilling multi-lateral wells and are forecasted to have work for the next year.&nbsp;In addition, we will be filling additional positions on our other ADR Singles as crews are moved and promoted.

JOB SUMMARYLocated in SW Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northern British Columbia - Floorhands are primarily responsible for handling drilling equipment on the drilling rig floor and keeping the rig and location clean and orderly.&nbsp;SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<ul><li>Assists the other crewmembers in their duties, including maintenance and repair of rig equipment, and he/she is a general all-around worker on the rig. There are usually two Floorhands on a crew, although smaller rigs may have only one.
