POSITION SUMMARYStrike is looking for skilled and safety-focused Millwrights&nbsp;to join our construction team in the oil and gas industry. The Millwright will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and heavy machinery used in oilfield construction projects, including compressor stations, pump stations, and process facilities. This position requires precision, technical expertise, and adherence to strict safety and environmental standards.Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strike’s Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness.PROJECT DETAILS<ul><li>Project starts in July</li><li>2-3 month project duration</li><li>Work is local to the Cold Lake/Bonnyville area</li><li>Preference will be given to local candidates</li></ul>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIESRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute mechanical installationsInstall, align, and level rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, and motorsAssemble and install piping systems, valves, and other related mechanical componentsPerform precision rigging, hoisting, and placement of heavy mechanical equipmentConduct preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure operational reliabilityUse hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring instruments with high accuracyWork closely with engineers, welders, and other trades to ensure project timelines and specifications are metAdhere strictly to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and PPE requirementsDocument work performed and maintain detailed service and inspection recordsSupport commissioning and start-up activities as requiredQUALIFICATIONSEducation<ul><li>Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority</li></ul>Training<ul><li>Must have valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, and EWP tickets</li></ul>SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>Must be able to pass pre-employment drug &amp; alcohol testing</li><li>Must possess a valid Driver’s License</li><li>Able to interpret Acorn drawings</li><li>Able to lift 50 pounds</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors</li></ul>Why work for Strike:Based in Western Canada with a head office in Calgary, Alberta, we provide energy and industrial construction and maintenance services across the largest geographical area in Canada.At Strike, we continuously demonstrate leadership, drive, creativity, and initiative.
