Work Conditions:
- Monday to Friday, 8 hour days
- Flexible work hours available after 6 months of employment. Work 8 hours per day within our core work hours.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with the Sales Team providing pricing and delivery of parts to be consolidated in quoting finished valves to our clients.
- Responsible for file and tracking quotes in a manner for easy access for review and execution at time of order receipts.
- Maintain Purchase Info Records data to support SAP Notification/Costing
- Shared responsibility of updating planning report for buyer to action for managing materials as required.
- Support Supply Chain with strategic sourcing developments.
- Review MRP daily, issue purchase orders and work orders as required per production plan / customer needs.
- Actively participate in KOM meeting, Coordinate and communicate with sales & project management team. Feedback shall be communicated to team members on special requirements, inventory requirements and changes orders.
- Review and action material component quotes for sales in a timely manner.
- Work with the Sales Team to ensure quote accurately represent customer requirements.
- Develop, organize, and maintain material quote system provided by sales team.
- Assist in preparing and update monthly planning reports for buyer to execute on.
- Ensure ERP system information is current and accurate. Update, verify and utilize the ERP system to place orders and identify buy situations for product lines
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 years progressive experience in a purchasing environment
- Post-secondary education in Materials Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and/or Supply Chain would be preferred.
- Two or more years manufacturing experience in an oilfield environment preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of material specifications for castings, forgings and raw material and basic understanding of API, ANSI, ASME and ISO requirements.
- Minimum 3 years of international sourcing and purchasing experience is preferred.
- Analytical skills, ability to work with forecasts, purchase history, and use of patterns is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software systems. Experience in SAP would be an asset.
- Must be able to adapt and react to constantly changing details and priorities, with the ability to prioritize and problem solve in a busy environment.

- Effective written and verbal English communication skills
