Bonnett’s Energy Corp. is looking for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic or a 1st to 2nd year apprentice for our heavy equipment fleet in Grande Prairie, AB.
Responsibilities
- Service and Repair heavy equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance. Update and maintain service records.
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, determine repairs needed.
- Test equipment for proper performance and ensure they are 100% field ready.
- Repair to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Organize and maintain shop, order parts and supplies.
- Weekend work required on an as needed basis.
- Maintain all documentation as per company and National Safety Code standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- May have to complete work on units in the field on occasion.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Heavy Duty certification or 1st year to 2nd year apprentice
- CVIP License an asset.
- Valid Driver’s License, with clean driver’s abstract (Class 3 or 1 driver’s License preferred).
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and champion a strong safety culture.
- Strong ethics and compliance to rules and regulations.
- Proactive, able to think on your feet and have exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Must have own tools.
- Must be able to work independently and self-direct.
