They work as trusted partners, creating better solutions and experiences for their customers, communities, and colleagues.</p><h2>Overview&nbsp;</h2><p>Perform a variety of mechanical duties to truck and trailer units including diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair, as well as regularly scheduled preventative maintenance.</p><h2>Responsibilities&nbsp;</h2><ul><li>Perform inspections, diagnostic tests, troubleshooting and general vehicle repair</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance services and maintenance related work as required</li><li>Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment</li><li>Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns</li><li>Manage work orders and assist in cost tracking, invoice reconciliation and third party repair pricing</li><li>Manage and report on fleet health, truck downtime and upcoming repairs</li><li>Maintain a functional shop, equipped with the necessary stock parts to keep trucks mobile</li><li>Discuss budget and needs with managers</li><li>Work in compliance with Company Health and Safety policies and OHSA standard</li><li>Keep neat and organized records of services and work in process</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Have a safety mindset and willing to comply to the standards and procedures of Lafarge Safety Policies</li><li>Must have a valid Truck and Coach (310T) License</li><li>A valid DZ Drivers License&nbsp;</li><li>Must possess own Hand Tools and Tool Box.</li><li>Ready mix experience with London and McNelius mixers an asset</li><li>Welding and Hydraulic systems experience and asset</li><li>Experience with Theam/Ready mix concrete conveyors&nbsp;an asset</li><li>Must have good written and oral communication skills</li><li>Fleet Experience Preferred</li><li>Computer knowledge utilizing email and Microsoft Excel is considered an asset</li><li>Must be organized and willing to exhibit good housekeeping practices in the Lafarge shop</li></ul><p>We thank you for your interest.&nbsp;Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.&nbsp; Lafarge is committed to the principles of employment equity and encourages the applications from women, visible minorities, and persons with disabilities.</p><p>Lafarge Canada Inc. welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.&nbsp;In Ontario, our organization/business is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.&nbsp;Accommodations are available on request for&nbsp;candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.</p><p><strong>YOUR LAFARGE EXPERIENCE</strong><br>At Lafarge, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
